As our number one value, Safety and Wellness of our employees, customers, subcontractors and the public is of utmost concern. The wellbeing of all people who we interact with is the very health of our company. Safety guides everything we do.
Our goal is to manage our company in a way which encourages a healthy lifestyle, maximizes wellness, promotes ongoing education and training, and minimizes safety and health risks. We have an outstanding safety record established over more than two decades.
Genesis has obtained our Certificate of Recognition in partnership with Alberta Construction Safety Association and is currently in the process of obtaining our COR for British Columbia.
We ensure that all employees are trained in WHMIS at the first opportunity, as well, all site personnel receive CSTS training. We continuously upgrade our staff’s safety training to ensure we follow industry best practices. Standard meetings include daily tool box talks, weekly safety meetings, project hazard assessment, and tool inspections.
Beyond our requirement to ensure every project crew has sufficient First Aid Responders, we have committed to provide First Aid training for every employee. Our staff is provided with all equipment necessary to perform their work safely and efficiently, including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, fall arrest gear, safety vests and other PPE as required.
We have a Safety Committee consisting of management personnel, Safety Leader, Branch Safety Coordinators and Safety Auditors. This team continually works to maintain and improve our safety programs and ensure that we are current with all new developments.
