Ensuring staff and resident safety in such a large facility can be a difficult task, so when Choices in Community Living (CICL) was building a new 130 bed facility in Spruce Grove, Alberta they knew finding the right healthcare service provider was integral in ensuring ongoing success. The building was constructed out of concrete and steel and knew it would be a challenge to design a system that could provide full wireless coverage.
With Stancec as their communications consultant, CICL knew they required a state of the art Real Time Locating System (RTLS) and paired with Genesis Integration for system design and install. After thorough discussion, it was decided an Elpas RTLS system with a Panasonic business / Wireless system would be the best fit for their needs
Genesis Integration provided the staff of Copper Sky Lodge full training on all the systems and in March 2013 the systems were fully operational. The system will not only identify who is calling in, but will also provide their location within the building as well. This ensures all residents and staff are safe and secure, a top priority for Choices in Community Living.
