Bermuda Hospital Board (BHB) was building a new 90 bed six story Acute Care wing to their existing hospital that includes a day surgery unit and new emergency room. The BHB was looking for technology partners that would provide advanced technology in Nurse Call, Patient Entertainment as well as advanced integration to wireless phones & building security.
In 2012, the Bermuda Hospital Board invited Genesis to the Island to do a presentation on Nurse Call & Patient Entertainment Systems, though this presentation, the BHB requested that Genesis be awarded the contract for the King Edward Memorial Hospital.
Genesis Integration entered into a partnership with the BHB and BCM McAlpine to design and build the project. Some of the key features of the facility include system integration between nurse call and building security systems, Code Blue way finding, and integration to Cisco wireless phones. Genesis continues to work with the hospital on future projects to enhance their emergency call system.
Genesis has completed the system in November 2014 and has received glowing reviews from the hospital board and the construction team.
The project team Genesis sent to Bermuda did an outstanding job providing the client with superior workmanship and the project management ensured Genesis the project was completed on time.
